March Madness

Just a few days ago the trees were bare. Now the tree limbs have small buds of green. One day the early morning was crisp and cool. By the afternoon, we had shed our sweaters and enjoyed a walk. March is full of madness. On Monday past, the 20th, it’s official Spring 2023.

For those who love the round ball, March is your favorite month. Certainly there has to be at least five television channels following the college teams as they climb the ladder to the Final Four or better.

In fact today, March 23, 2023 is a very special day, considering it is National Puppy Day, my favorite is National Chip and Dip Day, National Umbrella Month, now this next one can cause some anxious moments, National Near Miss Day.

On March 23, 1989, an asteroid, 4581 Ascelpius, 300 meters wide, passed within 500,000 miles of us. In recent months NASA aimed a missile at an asteroid that was getting very close to Earth.
