Put God First
Put God First in all we do. Proverbs 12:25 says Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
To The Monticello News staff. The scripture says that we should give honor where honor is due. I thank you all for the time, dedication to the newspaper for keeping us informed.
The New International Version (NIV) of Ecclesiastes 6:13 says Consider what God has done. Stop! Breathe. Read again.
Who can straighten what he has made crooked? V. 14 When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.
Lamentations 3:37 says
When God speaks! Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it? Decreed mean order truths from the Word and the heavenly realm to be manifested in our earthly realm, meant to divide, separate and destroy.
Psalm 112:1 says we establish blessing while separating from anything purposed against it by the enemy.
Decree is taking God’s words and speaking it out. We have seen and given the authority from Jesus to make these decrees into our realms of influence and as we do it we begin to create the will of God in our spiritual life.
Let’s not become Adam and Eve, Lot’s wife, a Samson, a Jonah, but a Jesus. Ephesians 5:1 says Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and life a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice of God. Fragrant mean a sweet-smelling aroma.
For you-me were once in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. So we should live as children of light. For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth and find out what pleases the Lord.
V. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
V. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
V. 13 But everything the Scripture is telling us exposed by the light becomes visible, for the light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said,’Wake up, O Sleeper rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you-me-us”
V. 15 Be very careful, then how we live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
V. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you-me-we can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you-me-we may be able to stand your ground, and after you-me-we have done everything to stand—stand firm with this in mind be alert.
Amen, Amen Amen.
