Happy New Year!
It’s another new year, and I am going to thank God almighty I’m still here.
The scriptures teach me to give honor where honor is due. I thank The Monticello News staff for allowing me to reach out to people and spread the good news of Jesus Christ whom the Father told Him and He told us.
Ready or not here I come. When we were children, we used to play a game, Hide & Seek. Where one will count, and the other would hide and they would count up to a certain number and would say, Ready or not, here I come. Jesus is still counting and death is still saying ready or not here I come. Jesus is still coming like a thief in the night.
In Genesis when Adam and Eve sinned, God called to them ready or not here I come. Pharoah down in Egypt I told Moses to go tell Pharaoh ready or not here I come.
When Moses went up to the mountain to get the 10 Commandments, he said ready or not here I come. The new year has come, the old year is past and gone; this is a good year. God wants us to remember how he brought us over from Egypt out from Pharoah hands, with no sickness, no diseases, riches and health, yes as poor as we were there, he gave us silver, gold, and clothes, too. He also gave us a warning. Laws and curses just like the times of old how quickly we forget about the laws of God and Moses and establish our own laws and then we will teach them to our household, but is this all a sin? Yes, let’s ask St. Luke 16:19-31 I am starting at verse 27. He answered, “Then I beg you father, send Lazarus to my father’s house, for I have five brothers…let’s go a little further. I have my family, friends, sister, grandchildren, co-workers, husband, my wife, yes even the preachers. Let him warn them so that they will not come to this place of torment to journey me in hell!
“No, father Abraham, he said, “but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent. Now that’s eye-opening Repent! When was the last time you went to your church and the pastors and preachers preached Repent? Was it not changed to come as you are, if you come in full of sins, every time the doors are open you are told just come as you are then you need to read St. Luke 13:1-8. So you want me to be going or coming to church perishing without repenting for our sins.
As God is chasing us as an elite people, we should hear the words of our Lord Jesus, how He saith: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like unto it: thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
So we can become a child of God. Read St. John 14:12 Amen—Amen. So we can be ready—when He comes!
