Graduations Are Set

Piedmont Academy has announced it will hold its 2020 graduation ceremony, as planned, on Saturday, May 23.

However, the ceremony will be held outdoors, and only persons in each students’ household are invited to attend.

Piedmont will hold its kindergarten graduation on Tuesday, May 19, in the school gymnasium. Immediate household members only are also invited to that.

The school said social distancing guidelines will be followed in all instances.

Meanwhile, Jasper County High School graduation is set for Friday, July 24, hopefully at the new athletic complex at the high school, 14477 Hwy. 11 North. Those students will also have a chance to go to prom, on Saturday, July 18.

Other senior activities include the awards day coming up next week, and the senior walk through the schools the following week.
