Thank A Nurse

May is such a beautiful month, green, green, green. Hard to believe just a couple of months ago the bare brown branches of the oaks rubbed against each other creaking in the wind, the brown grass lay flat and lifeless and then slowly things began to change as a bud or two popped out at the end of a branch. They are the sign.

Of course, we all enjoy the freshness of the atmosphere, still a cool morning, warming during the day. Always such a pity that the azaleas are so beautiful in their many shades of pink, red, fuchsia, orange, but have no aroma to waft through the open windows and now the flowers are shriveled and brown.

May 6th is National Nurses Day culminating on the 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday, founder of modern day nursing. This year’s theme is “Four Million Reasons to Celebrate” as there are approximately four million registered nurses who provide us comfort, care and contributions to our health. Thank a nurse this week in particular.
