Visiting Athens, Greece
Hello to all from Athens, Greece. We have been on a three hour walking tour of some of the famous sights in downtown Athens including the Roman market area built by who else the Romans.
Roman Emperor Hadrian built archways and temples to the gods.
Many of the sights are several thousand years old.
One day we visited the world’s oldest flea market, beautiful giant strawberries and grapes at the fruit and vegetable stands, and have eaten, eaten, eaten Greek food.
Today we went on a cruise to three islands—Hydra, Poros and Aegina all with beautiful azure seas surrounding them
We plan to walk up the Acropolis to view the Parthenon probably the most famous sight in the world.
In days to come we will take a trip to the ancient city of Delphi and To visit monasteries near Kalabaka.
See you soon, JJ
