CPR & First Aid Classes
Clear your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 23! Jasper County Fire Rescue will be hosting an all day event for both CPR/AED class *and* First Aid class… and space is limited! Your attendance will certify you for two years in either or both critical, life-saving skills.
Have a hunter in your family? Grandkids who are dare-devils? A farmer? Being trained in First Aid will give you the skills necessary to act in an emergency situation until help can arrive.
Topics covered include bleeding management, choking, using an EpiPen for allergic reactions, how to help with head and spinal injuries, and burn injuries to name a few.
The CPR/AED/Choking class will cover assessment and skills for adults, children, and infants with CPR, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and choking.
With our rural community, knowing and being proficient with these skills can literally mean the difference between life and death. And the best part…the classes are FREE! But…you do need to register.
Please go to: https://tinyurl.com/JCFRclass to register.
While the class itself is free, if you would like to have a card certifying you, there is a $20 fee from the issuing agency. Please wear comfortable clothing as you will be kneeling on the floor. You are also welcome to bring drinks and snacks. If you have any questions or problems registering, please email me at jcfrcpr@gmail.com
