Back-to-School Means Vaccination Time

It’s that time again…time to get prepared for the upcoming school year. Georgia law requires children attending a school or childcare facility be protected from certain vaccine-preventable diseases.

Don’t wait until right before school starts to meet those requirements, especially if your child is entering kindergarten, seventh grade or college. Immunization Requirements for Georgia Child Care and School Attendance can be found by calling the local health department, private physician, viewing specific college immunization forms and searching http://dph.georgia.gov/immunization-section or nchd52.org/immunizations.

The Jasper County Health Department also offers annual physicals for most children, eye/ear/dental assessments and sports physicals to get your child ready for this school year. Get ahead of the game and visit the Health Department at 336 East Greene Street, Monticello. Appointments can be made by calling 706-468-6850 ext. 2.
