JCCS STEAM Camps Well Received
With more than 40 camps, more than 150 students participated in the second annual Jasper County Charter System’s Summer STEAM camps.
Summer STEAM is made available to students enrolled in JCCS to provide the opportunity to experience hands-on teacher led camps. Students selected the interest area of choice and were able to explore, design and extend their skills in many areas. From robotics, photography, culinary, animal science, pottery, coding, band, or basketball, a variety of camps made the 2018 summer STEAM a success.
Providing all students the opportunity to develop real life learning skills is a critical tenet for future success. By encouraging students to remain focused on learning, even during the summer break, the JCCS is committed to every child developing skills to be successful, according to an announcement from the system.
Some of the participants in the Wacky With Words Camp include Tyler Zawlocki, Dylon Connor, Hunter Thomson, Brelynd Beasley, Amy Martinez, Cavanna Asbell, Tyler Walsh, and Ja’Quavios Reid.
Those taking parta in Web Design Camp include Erica Johnson, Briana Peete, Tiffani McClain, Rachel Carnes, Ashley Mendoza, Emily Sickler-Goodreau, Hannah Tinney, and Alayna Stewart.
