Child Summer Safety
Summer has officially begun and with the 4th of July holiday here, afternoons of grilling, boating, and family fun are in full swing!
Taking just a few minutes and a few proactive precautions can help ensure that our children breeze through the summer without injury.
Grilling out is just a staple of summer fun. And while we know the danger that grills represent, children are just worried about who can run faster than the other. Help deflect their energy and innocence by putting some sort of buffer around the grill. A layer of bricks, 5-gallon buckets, plants, anything will help keep curious toddler hands or racing youngsters from coming into contact with the grill.
Kids are the last to remember hydration, so we need to up their water intake in this crazy heat. They run and explore for hours so always have water, Gatorade, or similar drink available. Their bodies are burning through fluid fast and need to be replenished to help prevent heat exhaustion.
Keep your bodies hydrated and stay safe Jasper!
