Free CPR Training
Last week we posted about offering the Family & Friends CPR Training that will cover Adult and Infant CPR, AED, and choking. And not two days later I actually provided choking rescue for my own 10-yr old son on a potato chip! Chokings happen in an instant. Do you know what to do?
If your loved one collapsed in front of you, would you know what to do to give them the best chance of survival? Four to six minutes is all they have to have any chance of survival. Are you ready? Do you know what to do?
Jasper County Fire/Rescue Dept is now offering CPR Saturdays.
Community CPR, Choking, and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) training. We currently offer training for certified classes to meet requirements for job performance, but are adding FREE community based education.
Family and Friends is CPR training for the community where certification is not required but the life-saving information is still shared. This course is ideal for parents, grandparents, caregivers, fitness centers, or community groups.
Best of all, this class is free! Class sizes will be limited to 14. The first date this is being offered is Saturday, Feb. 17, starting at 10 a.m. and will run approximately 90 minutes. Class will be held at Fire Station 3 at 185 Hwy 212 W next to the Primary school.
Please email gaffmedic@yahoo.com to reserve your spot including name(s) of attendees, phone #, & email. A confirmation notice will be sent within one day. Deadline is February 14. If you can’t make this one or it is already full, we will be offering several more soon.
We’re excited to have Jasper County 100% CPR trained! Stay safe Jasper!
