A Season Of Love, Giving, And Togetherness

The Christmas season always brings the opportunity for each of us to take inventory of the blessings gained throughout the year, loved ones lost, lessons learned, and new adventures about to start. While many of us are surrounded by family and friends, there are many in our community right here in Jasper County who do not have that blessing.

We have a very close-knit community in this county with many decades-long families forming the foundation. While you and yours are planning and detailing for that perfect get together, I would urge you to reach out to your neighbors. Our neighbors also include those at our nursing homes and assisted living facilities who do not have any family. Isn’t there always room at the table for one more seat?

It isn’t nosey to check in our neighbors to let them know you care and we’re all in this adventure called life, together.

We hope you have gotten your kitchen fire extinguisher, evaluated your heating sources for safety, and heeded the manufacturer’s directions for all of your decorations. Please travel safely allowing extra time to not rush and extra distance allowing for lost and distracted commuters.
