What’s Happening?
Public Safety in Jasper County is becoming more efficient to better serve you.
Did you know that proficiencies of Firefighting and Emergency Medical Services are now combined? Firefighters have been cross-trained in EMS, and EMT’s and Paramedics have been cross-trained in firefighting. All in an effort to better serve our Jasper County citizens.
And instead of having seven (7) distinct fire departments in the county, we are now grouped under one umbrella with a unified leadership.
We have members of the department who are acquiring their certifications to be able to offer CPR and First-Aid instruction, Car Seat Technicians, Fire Instructor, EMS Instructor, and other community service offerings. We are here to serve you.
While we are ready to respond to your call, it is usually under frantic circumstances and not ideal to be able to talk informally and shake a hand.
So, we would like to invite you out for a fun night at the Recreation Department ball fields for the Public Safety Cup! On Thursday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. the Jasper County Fire/EMS will play against the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department; it will be a fun night of community, comraderie, and fellowship.
