Eighth Graders ‘Graduate’

High school seniors were not the only class to graduate during the final week of classes at Jasper County Charter Schools, the eighth grade class at the middle school held graduation ceremonies as well.

Jace DeGarmo, JCHS senior class valedictorian, spoke to the students encouraging them to set and reach goals as they journey through their academic years. She opened up about her early grades and how shyness helped her to focus on classwork. As she progressed toward graduation, she was elated to be ranked the highest academic point earner in her senior class.

Over 180 students were honored in the school’s gym while family and friends joined in the celebration of various accomplishments that each student fulfilled during this year.

Elizabeth Pratt, teacher, read the list of achievements while Principal Cheryl Marrett and Assistant Principal Dionka Jackson congratulated the students with certificates as they walked over the stage. Pictured is Mrs. Marrett as she gives final thoughts to the Class of 2021.
