High School Has Fine Arts Night

Recently, Jasper County High School hosted its “Fine Arts Night” event at the JCHS Theater, where the band students performed four sets.

Band director Chris Savage emceed the concert portion of the event and directed the performances with his usual aplomb. The “Hurricane Breeze Steel Drum Ensemble” opened up the evening’s musical efforts with pop songs percolating in percussion rhythms, followed by the jazz band, the percussion ensemble, and the symphonic band.

Students performing in the various musical sets include the following:

Tyler Aldridge, Star Batchelor, Jacob Bell, Zach Billings, Christopher Blakely, Hope Brill, Saniyah Bullard, Cynthia Callaway, Joey Cangelosi, Izaiah Catlin, Ciara Christopher, Thomas Cooper, Brody DeGarmo, Evan Ferguson, Jessica Fernandez, and Tanner Fletcher.

Also, Bobby Franklin, Rayshaud Goolsby, Malachi Guli, John Guyton, Brendon Haddock, Hezekiah Hamblin, Emily Hanson, Noah Hanson, Landyn Harris, Kayla Henderson, Avery Jacobs, Braxton Johnson, Erica Johnson, Brittany Kent, Josh Kent, Audrey Loggins, Nataleigh Long, Moses Manning, Sara Massey, Alex Mendoza, Kelsey Mix, Evan Newton, and Sierra Nichols.

Also, Amber Payne, Josh Payne, Briana Peete, Maddy Perry, Rodney Pilgrim, Hunter Poteet, Andrew Pratt, Madison Rae, Rose Redd, Will Robinson, Kamryn Rooks, Gina Saldana, Sara Saldana, Broox Shannon, Josh Sheriff, Travaus Sims, Cole Smith, America Strickland, Kyla Thomas, Megan Truskosky, Autumn VanHouter, Anthony Vasquez, A.K. Walker, Cameron Whitener, Jeremiah Williams, and Amber York.

Visual arts students also presented their work along the walls in a gallery display to launch the evening’s event; their works remain on display in the auditorium at the high school until the last week of school. Art teacher Peyton Proctor supervised this part of the night’s events.
