On Top of the World

If you’ve seen me in the last few days, you may have noticed I appear to be floating on air. I’m on top of the world. My baby girl, Emily, is getting married this Saturday. And, she may have already gotten the best present ever—acceptance into nursing school.

And, if that’s not enough, her sister, Hannah, got engaged to be married last week. She is so happy.

So it is a really happy time in our family. Both my daughters have found good men to spend the rest of their lives with, and the journey has begun.

We have been planning Emily’s wedding for some time, and for anyone who has ever had the pleasure…it can be a real headache. But, the time is here. It’s all done, or it will be undone…wedding day is around the corner. I have confidence whatever we’ve forgotten won’t be noticed, and it will be a beautiful day. She’s getting married in front of an 80-foot waterfall, obviously outdoors, and it looks like the weather will cooperate.

And, Hannah and Caleb haven’t set a date yet, with Hannah saying let her enjoy being engaged for a while. I agree. At least until we get through Saturday.

So, if you see me dancing in the street…you know I’m just a happy mama. Just smile with me and maybe join in…it’s a great feeling!
