FBLA Students Rally at Fair in Perry

Members of the Jasper County Middle School and Jasper County High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently participated in the annual Fall Motivational Rally at the Perry Fair Arena.

Local high school members joined more than 8,500 other FBLA members from around the state to meet the Georgia State Officer Team and to induct region and local officers. JCHS sophomore Cole Usry was introduced as Region 12 Vice President.

After the state officers were introduced, the members were entertained by a motivational speaker and a musical performance by Silento. Silento is a senior at Redan High School and has been an FBLA member since seventh grade. He is best known for his debut single “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).” After the Rally, students enjoyed fair rides, good food, and fair entertainment at the Georgia National Fair.

JCHS FBLA members who attended were Mackenzy Babb, Rebecca Bailey, Riley Burton, Christian Caldwell, Ciara Christopher, Kira Gaver, Brooklyn Jefferson, Maurice Jefferson, Destiny Little, Ryan Nelson, Kinshaza Norris, Will Parker, Tyler Phillips, Keri Roach, Cambria Stone, Shauntis Stone, Cole Usry, Martrel Wilson, Christillie Wood, and Jameecia Thurman.

FBLA members were accompanied by advisers Johnnie Sue Moore, Amy Scroggs, and Mary Tumlin; chaperones, Cheryl Jacobs and Mandie Behling; and bus driver, Matt Tumlin.
