CNA Studentes Visit Retreat
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students at Jasper County High School visited The Retreat and enjoyed karaoke and dancing with the residents and staff recently.
They were honored by the staff and residents with cake, thank you’s, and words of encouragement. Many students talked about their experiences the last few weeks training along side the staff during clinical rotations. They spoke of how valuable this experience was in helping them make decisions about their future careers after high school.
“It is an honor and blessing to be able to bring my students to The Retreat,” said Patty Cole, RN and Healthcare Science instructor at JCHS.
“The residents and staff there have a special place in my heart. I can’t think of a better place where students could receive their training, and we are so blessed to have a facility such as The Retreat in our hometown that welcomes us every year. I would like to thank them for always welcoming me and the students each year.”
Twenty-two students are in the CNA class at JCHS, but several were not in attendance due to a track meet.
