COC Is Active
The Monticello – Jasper County Chamber of Commerce is very active with many forward moving groups in the community such as Forward Jasper.
This group of community leaders hosted the Jasper Co. Strategic Planning Workshop on May 31 and it successfully steered the group toward four priorities for future focus. Watch for updates as these leaders bring our community into a future to benefit all Jasper County.

The quarterly First Friday Breakfast met at Turtle Cove Clubhouse on June 6. We were informed of the rapid production pace of Norton Packaging, Inc. This company is the newest addition to the Industrial Park and is announcing production at 24/7 as of last week. A great addition to Jasper County and one of the Chamber of Commerce’s newest members!!
This Saturday, June 14 is the traditional celebration of Flag Day in America. In Monticello we will be adding Veteran’s Appreciation Day in conjunction with our local Market on the Square! This year marks the second annual day in Monticello to honor veterans of all USA conflicts and this year’s emphasis is on the women that have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The Veteran’s Appreciation Day program begins at 9 a.m. with the American Legion Post 110 Color Guard raising the flag of the United States. A parade will travel through town at noon, and a list of speakers will commemorate the day.
