Spring Break
Dear Students,
Right now you are either on Spring Break, have already been on Spring Break or will be going on Spring Break.
Word to the wise, cherish these fleeting moments of your childhood for there are no Spring Breaks in the real world.
Right now you are either excited about going somewhere, seeing someone, being with a group of people, doing something, doing nothing, riding in a car, bus, train, airplane to destinations, worrying about your appearance, dancing, not knowing how to dance, bored, fighting with your siblings or friends.
Spring Break is really not a break at all, it is usually crammed with excitement and much boredom as all of the other students are having adventures while you are stuck doing nothing or so you think.
Why do the schools even have Spring Break? I think it was started to give students a time to relax before the final push of final exams. Do students today even take their books home with them on Spring Break when they have extra hours in the day to prepare for final exams?
Nowadays, as students no longer have books but electronic tablets, teachers, parents, mentors have to remind them to stay on track as the temptations to wonder off into the internet is always present with those things.
After graduation from high school or college, let’s hope both, Spring Break will now be called a vacation. If you have children, then your vacation is often times taken when your children are on Spring Break, but trust me, it ain’t the same.
So as previously advised, enjoy Spring Break, enjoy those years of not having a care in the world, the days when you actually had time to stop and spell the flowers and watch white clouds form into animals.
Enjoy!
