2014 Snow Jam
What a difference a week makes. This time last week we were digging out from our inch of snow. Hope all the Jasper County kids had a good time.
Us old folks were just trying to find enough warm clothes to wear to the mailbox. Thanks to our dedicated United States Postal Service workers we got mail during 2014 Snow Jam.
Boo, our dog, is ready for the Winter Olympics. She beat a new world record during the snow. Usually she takes her time finding just the right place to “go to the bathroom” as we call it. Last week she was able to find just the right place in a matter of seconds.
Soup, soup, and more soup. Crock pots all over Jasper County were humming with combinations of vegetables and meats. Nothing beats the cold like a hot bowl of soup except, of course, any form of chocolate.
And writing about chocolate, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner as evidenced by aisles of assorted chocolate goodies in the stores. Spend some money on your honey, it’ll pay off.
So glad to also learn that our local weather groundhog has predicted Spring is in the air, hope so.
