‘Shop Small’ Is Saturday, Nov. 30

“Shop Small” returns to Monticello/Jasper County on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Merchants across the community are offering special promotions to encourage residents and visitors to shop locally, keeping retail dollars within the community.

Vendors will be offering special pricing and holiday fanfare for shoppers. The Shop Small effort is sponsored by American Express nationally in conjunction with local organizations in order to promote and support community businesses.

Santa Claus will be making a special appearance at the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to listen to wishes from children and pose for photographs.

The Monticello News will be offering a shopping guide to be included in the November 27 edition. Any businesses seeking to advertise holiday promotions or specials for the event should contact The News office before 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.
