This time of year outside exercisers need practical gear to stay warm. For women a Brooks brand seamless headband with moisture-wicking material is a perfect alternative to a stocking cap. It is comfortable, warm and feminine with a chic flowery design.

Give the gift of health to a loved one and support Matt Damon’s nonprofit organization, the CamelBak Groove. Purchase a reusable bottle with a filter built into the straw that turns tap water into freshly filtered water and $10 will go directly to support Water.org’s mission of providing clean, safe water to those in need.

Music lovers that never leave home without their IPOD can always use an extra set of ear buds. I recommend spending at least $20 for a better quality product. Also, consider a waterproof/sweat proof variety like H20 that offer different sized ear plugs for comfort and durability.

You can never go wrong with a good pair of work out socks. Although I prefer Asics low cut running socks, there are numerous comparable brands available. Don’t skimp on price, however. Socks need to have moisture wicking and anti-odor technology, arch support and a seamless toe. Usually you can purchase a pack of four for under $20.
