Stolen Golf Cart, Gratitude for Deputies

In the dark early Sunday morning, thieves stole some of our property not 20 feet from our front door. When the theft was discovered, Jasper County Sheriff’s Department responded quickly to our phone call.

Unfortunately, we take our police for granted and only have contact with them when there is trouble. These public servants go to work everyday and unlike the rest of us, may face danger in performing their duty.

No one can tell me that they are police just for a paycheck.

In our case, within hours, our property was found along with other stolen property. A concerned GOOD neighbor went out of his way to find the owners of property he found on his land. With this neighbor’s help, our sheriff’s office was able to return our property before sundown.
