Duct Tape

Is there no end to the uses for duct tape or as we call it in the South, duck tape?

There was a truck in the parking lot at Ingles one day with the tailpipe attached to the bumper with duct tape.

I have heard rumors that it also makes good replacement chrome. Hint Hint

About five years ago, the cap on my washing machine agitator came off and ended up in the wet clothes. I tried in vain to figure out how to put the cap back on.

Hot glue? Nope, the thing came off the first wash. Then I spied the gray duct tape and tore off a few strips to hold the cap on the agitator. The duct-tapped cap has now gone through probably 1,000 or so washes and the duct tape has held.

According to credible sources, there are 35 different colors of duct tape including spotted and pink zebra and of course, classic silver.

Each year some high schools have a contest around prom time when students are asked to design prom dresses and tux’s from duct tape.

If you are in the region of Avon, Ohio, June 6-17, take some time to attend the 9th Annual Duck Tape Festival; lots of entertainment, parade, 40,000 folks are expected to attend.

No home should be without a roll of duct tape and never leave home without some.

One of my travel buddies had to duct tape her luggage together when the zipper on her suitcase broke and she found her belongings circling on the baggage carousel at the airport.
