Black Friday
Certainly the biggest anticipated day of the year for professional shoppers used to be Black Friday, also known as the day after Thanksgiving.
Now you no longer have to stand out in front of a store at 4 a.m. on Friday waiting for the doors to spring open. Each year more and more stores are opening on Thanksgiving Day. Some even announcing they will be open 24 hours a day. What happened to Black Friday?
No more rush to grab the one computer that is on sale or the 700 count sheets. Those days are history. You can also thank our online buddies for the demise of Black Friday. Without leaving your house, you can just point, click and buy.
Of course, the television stations will still be out and about showing shopping center parking lots overflowing and frantic shoppers running for the bargains. What else is news on this slow day?
