Wise People Learn Old

Next Monday is my last poetry class at Georgia Perimeter College.
Next, I will take statistical analysis of comparison studies, just kidding. When you are 62 years old, you can attend Georgia Perimeter College literally for free, save a textbook or two. The program is called Prime Timers, look it up at their website, www.gpc.edu.

The first day I walked into class, the other students thought I was the teacher and momentarily looked up.

Some of the classes I have taken have been about ancient history like the 1960s. The students marvel at my vast knowledge of ancient peoples and events including the Beatles, the first computers, and the first “Rocky” movie.

Being in these classes has reminded me of my youth and how I thought back then.

The youth of today are the same as yesteryear, we eagerly, too eagerly, wanted to take our place in the world, success was easy, problems, what problems. Their optimism overwhelms me.
Prime Timers program is unique and did I mention it was free, try it. Some wise person once said you can never learn too much or be too old to learn.
