Fall Weather

That nip in the night air can only mean one thing, Fall is right around the corner.
Fall means football in Jasper County. Hurricanes and Cougars and their fans were out in force this past week. Good luck this season!
Fall is also time to find some ripe muscadines along the roadside. They seem to be plentiful this year. I get a cup full every afternoon on my walks with Boo, the dog.

The neighbor’s pear tree has a lot of pears this year, not ripe yet, but Boo and I will keep an eye out. The squirrels have already been taking some samples.

The persimmon tree down the road is full of fruit. Learning to eat a persimmon takes some finesse, those seeds can really make you pucker.

Take a walk this week, maybe you will find some tasty treats in your neighborhood, too.
There are still some hot days left in this year, but fall is definitely in the air.
