Donations Needed for the National Guard Brigade
The American Legion Post 110 in Monticello is collecting donations now through Monday, June 15. Donations will be going to the National Guard Brigade from the surrounding area who are going to Afghanistan.
Donations can be taken to Cunard’s Garage at 243 West Greene Street in Monticello or for those residing in Turtle Cove, donations can be taken to the home of Fred Paul at 141 Crow Court.
List of suggested items include: travel size toilet paper, tooth brushes, tissues, vitamin C, disposable razors, chapstick, quart zipper bags, dental floss, wet wipes, sunscreen, cotton swabs, foot or body powder, and the like.
Also, cereal bars, dried fruit, hard candy, m & m’s, small packages of cookies, 100% beef jerky, rice krispie treats, hot chocolate, peanuts, mixed nuts, Pringles or other snacks in canisters, canned mandarin oranges, blister pack gum, lemonade, Propel or Kool-ade, sunscreen, granola bars, Folgers coffee singles, sunflower seeds, Pez candy dispensers.
The above items need to be in travel size if available.
