It’s All About Family
I would like to begin by thanking everyone for the kindness and helpfulness they have shown me since I became Executive Director of Jasper County Family Connection.
I am very excited about the many different programs I am attempting to bring into Jasper County to assist the members of this great community. We have a wonderful community with great people who truly care about Jasper County and Monticello.
One of the programs I am very excited about is the SOURCE program. SOURCE is a program that is offered to anyone on Medicaid and Disability.
The program can offer Life Line, Meals on Wheels and a personal assistant to assist in household chores, transportation to medical appointments and pharmacy.
You can phone me at 706-468-6461 if you or someone you know is on Medicaid and Disability to get signed up for this program.
I am also very excited about our new “Jasper Autism Team.” The team is a group of caring people who have some interest in autism. The team will have its first meeting on January 15. The meeting will begin promptly at 6 p.m. in the DFCS building conference room.
The team will begin putting together plans for the “Walk for Autism” which will take place in April 2008.
Please notify me at 706-468-6461 if you are interested in joining the team or if you are interested in learning more about what the team can do for people in Jasper County who have autism.
