Alison Hildebrant Seeks Council Post
Alison Hildebrant qualified to run for the District 1, Post 2, seat on the Monticello City Council.
Mrs. Hildebrant is originally from Montgomery, Ala. At the age of 10, she and her family moved to Stone Mountain.
She graduated from Mercer University with a B.B.A. in Management, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Business Administration.
“After graduating from college and marrying my husband Steve, we began looking for a place to call home. We liked the appeal of a small town atmosphere, and friendly people with high morals and values. It’s these qualities that attracted us to Monticello, and we have made it our home now for the 16 years of our marriage. We have one daughter, Anne Marie.
“While living in Monticello I have been employed with McIntosh State Bank and Georgia-Pacific. Both of these employment endeavors have provided me a valuable opportunity to meet numerous citizens of this great community. Currently, I am a stay at home mother which will provide me the opportunity to serve on the City Council and to address those issues that are of concern to my constituency and the citizens of Monticello.

“I will work diligently to investigate all avenues available to lower utilities and reduce traffic congestion around the square; provide quality economic development; support an open, fair and honest government; ensure the protection and safety of our community and preserve our local hospital and library.
“I will strive to ensure that our fiscal resources are managed in a responsible and prudent manner. As we grow Monticello’s resources and quality of life, I will also be mindful of our impact on environmental and natural resources.”
Mrs. Hildebrant currently serves on the Jasper Health Systems board of directors. she is a former President & Vice-President of the Jasper County Monticello Chamber of Commerce, and graduated from the 2nd Leadership Jasper class. She is a former member of the Jasper County High School Advisory Committee, and former president of the Piedmont Academy PTO.
She coached soccer for several years at the Jasper County Recreation Department, is former President of the Monticello Woman’s Club, a member of Monticello Baptist Church, and former treasurer of the Ethel B. Wilson Baptist Women.
“I want to be your next City Council member. I appreciate your support and your vote for District 1, Post 2, City Council on November 6,” she said.
