Local Man Excels in Bicycling

The Maxxis Georgia Cup bicycle racing series announced in October that Robert Jordan of Monticello, racing for MAX Cycling Team of Macon, finished second in 2006 Georgia Cup series points among more than 400 category five competitors.

The Georgia Cup is the southeast’s premier bicycle racing series and includes races throughout the state for amateur and professional cyclists. Mr. Jordan competed in 18 Georgia Cup races in 2006 from February to October.

He finished the year ranked 7th in the state in the road racing category.
