Flu Vaccine Available

The Jasper County Health Department has received enough flu vaccine to offer shots to all comers; lifting the restrictions that previously limited inoculations to specified high-risk individuals.

The department continues to operate on an “open access” basis, asking prospective patients to call 706-468-6850 by 8:30 a.m. or come by the department at 336 E. Greene St. on the day they want shots rather than making appointments in advance.

The charge for flu inoculation is $30; there is no out-of-pocket expense for persons on Medicare or Medicaid.
