Facade Grants Available

The Monticello Downtown Development Authority and Monticello Economic Restructuring, Inc. organizations are offering two $500 grants to downtown businesses for structural improvements on building façade.

Applications can be picked up at the Monticello Visitor’s Center. The grant will not include signage.

If the business applicant leases the building, the owner and leasee must both sign the application. Applicants must include an estimate of the project with the application. Deadline for this grant cycle is October 21.

Grants will also be offered in the spring 2006 beginning in April and having a deadline of June 23. The purpose of this grant is to encourage downtown development, tourism, and increased retail sales.
