Probation Is Revoked
Two people who were allegedly involved in the hostage situation on North Warren Street involving an undercover agent with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office last month had their probation revoked during a court session Tuesday in Jasper Superior Court.
Daniel Driskell had originally been sentenced under the first offender act which allows a first-time offender the chance to have a clean record.

If a first offender completes his sentence without a subsequent arrest or other charges being brought, the initial offense is removed and he does not have a criminal record.
However, generally if the offender does get arrested again, he is sentenced to do the maximum allowed by the original sentence. It is the incentive for the first offender to not make another mistake.
Mr. Driskell’s probation was revoked, and he will spend the remainder of his sentence incarcerated.
Michah Antwan Still, who also was arrested in connection with the hostage situation, also had his probation revoked.
Both men may face other charges from the recent incident.
