In the Jasper County accident, a personal watercraft ran into a boat. There was property damage, and the Emergency Medical Service responded, but there were no serious injuries, according to Sgt. Tim Kendricks of the Department of Natural Resources.
He also said that officers only wrote one boating under the influence citation on Jackson Lake during the holiday. He said there were several citations for other offenses, though, including reckless operation and life jacket violations.
On the road, Michael Eugene Ray lost control of the motorcycle he was driving on Monday and wrecked on County Line Road.
Saturday night, a 16-year-old ran off the road on Jackson Lake Road at Eagle Drive. She was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, and was released Sunday afternoon.
The Georgia State Patrol investigated both those accidents. The sheriff’s department had no report of any other accidents.
