Jasper Memorial Hospital Celebrates 50 Years

Jasper Memorial Hospital was conceived in a time far removed from the present. The community gathered $50,000 cash, rather than passing an additional tax to build the physical plant.

Patient records were kept by hand on cards. The bookkeeping was also by hand in columnar ledger books. The nation and the hospital were segregrated.
