Many Settle Charges with Pleas

Numerous criminal cases were settled in Jasper Superior Court Monday as defendants pled guilty to some level of charge. For those who faced several charges, some were nolle prossed. In addition, at times the guilty plea was to lesser charges.

Persons who pled guilty to some type of charge in Superior Court this week, and their original charges include:

•Chris Dale Lockhart—Violation of the Georgia Controled Substances Act (VGCSA) and open container.
•David Christopher Hardwick—aggravated assault and obstruction of officer.
•Charles Fredrick Willis—two counts of child molestation and aggravated sexual battery.

•Darrell Dewayne Hobbs—driving under the influence (DUI), no proof of insurance, operating without a helmet.

•Travis Viondi Gantt—robbery, obstruction and public drunk.
•Steven Anderson—burglary.
•James Robert Porter—statutory rape and sexual exploitation of children.

•Joshua Waylon Wheeler—interference with custody, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and statutory rape.
•Matthew Scott Wheeler—interference with custody, VGCSA-distribution of methamphetamine, and statutory rape.
•Justin Lavar Bostic—VGCSA.
•Kedric Lamar Brannon—family violence battery and interfering with 911 call.

•Tommie Jackson—possession of a firearm by convicted felon and VGCSA, possession of marijuana.

•Tony Antonoin Moore—DUI, driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and failure to stop for stop sign.
•Jerry Willard Vitatoe—hunting while under the influence of drugs, VGCSA, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

•Roy William Rairie—VGCSA-possession of cocaine, driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance, expired tag.

•James Edward Zenko—family violence battery and cruelty to children in the second degree.
•David Duane Underwood—VGCSA.

•Chrystal Ann Taner Weather-ford—DUI, DUI, less safe, driving while license suspended.
•Jonathan E. Mills—terroristic threats and acts, four felony counts.

•Jesse Glen Atkinson—burglary.
•Russell Scott Hicks—burglary.
•David Allan Hicks—burglary.
•Debra Ann Slaton—VGCSA, possession of methamphetamine, defective equipment.

•Shawn David Viney—simple battery and driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Travis Viondi Gantt—family violence battery and interfering with 911 call.

•Kandy Annette Fite—obstruction of officers, bringing within guard lines contraband by an inmate, and in a separate incident, theft by receiving stolen property.

•Justin Levar Bostic—criminal damage to property in the second degree.

•Leslie Fay Thomas, VGCSA, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, contributing to the deprivation of a minor, manufacture of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

•Jason Fredrick Wheat—contributing to the deprivation of a minor, VGCSA, possession of methamphetamine, and VGCSA, manufacture of marijuana.

•Henry J. Maddox—VGCSA, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, sale of alcohol, sale of alcohol near a church.

•Ricky Mayo Spinks—aggravated assault.
•David Christopher Hardwick—aggravated assault, interference with government property, and carrying a concealed weapon.

•Charles Motes—burglary.
Bench warrants were issued for persons who were supposed to be in court Monday and were not there.

They include Sergio Ortiz Guiterrez, Joel Cary Stacks, David James Pattillo, Kenneth Earl Ross, Tony Marvin Slate, Sue Carol Gibbs, Jared East, Mary Jo Pope, Charles Bradley Jutz, Marion Lee Smith, and Johnathan Seth Rosser.
