Two Die Early Sunday

Jasper County Coroner Billy Norris was called upon twice Sunday morning within an hour of each other.

A family member found Arthur Brewer, 51, of Bear Creek Point unconscious Sunday morning and began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Mr. Brewer died at Jasper Memorial Hospital. The state crime lab ruled the cause of death to be a heart attack.

Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.

In the other incident, Ronald George Gunter, 68, of rural Jasper County was founded dead Sunday morning, an apparent suicide victim.

The crime lab report substantiated that theory.
