Fight Sends Man to Hospital
An altercation that came across the police radio as being at Percy Smith Trailer Park on Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive Sunday afternoon resulted in a Lithonia man being airlifted to the Medical Center in Macon.
David James, 26, was treated for a skull fracture after apparently being struck in the head by a blunt object, according to Tom Davis with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He had been released from the hospital at press time Wednesday.
According to traffic on the scanner, someone, likely an alleged perpetrator, was being sought in “Commissioner [Carl] Penna-mon’s” back yard.
Mr. Davis said the case is still under investigation.
