Round-Up Festival Set

The Shady Dale Community Club will sponsor a “round-up festival” this Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Shady Dale, featuring lots of fun for the young and the young at heart.

The festival will offer entertainment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with B.J. Wages, Robert Pruitt, Rusty Wright and Les Steele performing.

There will be lots of food to whet the appetite of young and old. Children will enjoy the inflatables, children’s toys, a rock wall, and more, and don’t forget the parade at 3 p.m. For the older set, there will be crafts, quilts, jewelry, Shady Dale souvenirs, and more.

A mini-health fair will be conducted by Dr. Stephen Griswold who will check cholesterol and blood pressure.

There will be a “jail” for those who are unfortunate enough to find themselves on the wrong side of the Shady Dale law. All fines will benefit the Community Club.
