Bobby Jacobs To Serve on City Council

Bobby Jacobs qualified for the Monticello City Council, Post 1 in District 2, and is running unopposed.

Mr. Jacobs said, “The other day I asked my oldest son what he likes most about Monticello. ‘Daddy,’ he said, ‘my friends.’ That led me to realize what motivates people to offer themselves up for public service. You see, deep down you want what’s best for your family, your friends and your community; you want things better for everyone.

“Prosperity shared and friendships made. In order to make this happen, bridges must be built and compromise is the word of the day. I have a deep concern for all in our community and I will work diligently to help Monticello and her people prosper.

“In regards to experience, education, military service, entrepreneurship, husband, father and public servant: I have those qualifications and am willing to discuss them. But, to me, municipal government is as close as government will get to the people. Therefore, trust should be earned and I will work tirelessly to serve you.
