Banker Honored for 50 Years Service

Mrs. Janet Davis of Monticello was recognized at the annual Georgia Bankers Association convention held in Atlanta, for 50 years of banking service.

Mrs. Davis began her career in banking in 1958 at the Bank of Monticello as a teller and bookkeeper. She retired in 1995 as customer service representative and Bank Secrecy Act officer. She has been employed part-time and is still employed as the Internal Auditor for the bank.

Steve Jordan, Chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association for the past year had the privilege of presenting Mrs. Davis with her plaque. Mr. Jordan is President of Bank of Monticello and has worked with Mrs. Davis since 1992. Don Kelly, Chairman of the Board of Bank of Monticello was also on hand for the presentation.

Mr. Kelly has worked with Mrs. Davis for more than 37 of her 50 years.
