Home from Paris

It is good to be back, a week in Paris gave us a chance to F9 (refresh) our brains for a while.

I would be remiss to my fellow animal lovers out there if I did not tell you about Parisians and their animals, especially their dogs.
Paris is as busy as say a city like New York City with constant people and traffic clogging the sidewalks and streets.

As anyone who has been to NYC has observed, there are numerous dogs all complete with collars and leashes. In Paris, most dogs do not wear collars or leashes as they sniff and leave their prizes along the way following their owners to their destinations.

Their owners clean-up the prizes religiously. When the dog owners gets to their destination, grocery store, bank, beauty shop, restaurant, the dogs just sits or lays down outside and waits for their masters to come out.

You do see dogs inside restaurants though. All seem to be extremely well behaved. I even met a 13 year old pug, same color as my Boo, he was named appropriately, Garcon.

One afternoon one of the girls in our group saw a shaggy dog laying outside a beauty shop and inquired of the beauticians inside if anyone knew who owned the dog lingering outside in the cold.

The owner came to the door and indicated that the dog liked being outside and if he wanted in, he just scratched at the door.
Let’s all remember to support our local animal shelter and all they do for our animal friends. My Boo was adopted from a shelter and he is so precious.

And a Happy St. Patrick’s Day today, wear green and you will get kissed, not and you get pinched.
