Hi everybody, this is ‘ Don’t let Lindsey eat the ice cream ‘ (aka Lindsey Parr).

My dad is working super duper hard this week so I decided to be the one to write the column.

You know how all you adults have magical memories about your special thing to do as a child? Okay, let me tell you about my magical world that I still get to live in (cause I’m still a kid)—my Barbie world.

Ever since I discovered Barbies I’ve been playing with them. Me and my sister, Mackenzie, share a room and in our room is my special world. Let me rephrase that, our special world. Almost every day me and Mackenzie get together and play Barbies.

My favorite Barbie category is anything vintage. I have vintage Barbies, vintage food, vintage furniture, and vintage clothing. I even have the Barbie airplane from the 70’s.

My mom tried to get me the Barbie town house but couldn’t find one, so instead she got me the wooden one from JC Penney’s, and since I don’t know any better, I think my Barbie house is the coolest.
Me and Mackenzie started passing Barbie items down just a few years ago to the twins and now they have their own spectacular Barbie world.

Okay, at this very moment Gabby walked in with MY baby Barbie and my Barbie kayak, but I’m not going to get up and chase her, oh no I’m not, I’m going to finish this article … I’ll let Mackenzie get her!

Oh great, they are attacking each other right here, beside me. Looks like Mackenzie got away with the kayak, but she just smacked herself in the eye and ran out of the living room crying….aren’t little children cute?

So back to the story at hand, I could tell you about how we use Barbie as a weapon, or as a bath toy, but most of all, I want to tell you that when I am in my special world, I shut out everything around me.

When I am in my own little world, I focus on what I am doing with my little sister, Mackenzie.

I mean, what fun is a magical world if you don’t have someone special to share it with?

See ya!
Lindsey, sister of many
