Resolutions

Each year many of us make New Year resolutions. By now some of those resolutions have either been broken or forgotten.

According to my unofficial survey, the number one resolution is to lose weight and eat healthy, a tall order after indulging in holiday foods. A more realistic idea would be to just visit the junk food aisle at the grocery store instead of buying all of it and taking it home.

Second on the resolution list is to spend more time with family and friends. To do this, it will require putting down the cellphone, turning off the computer, weaning yourself from all electronic devices.

Have you ever thought someone was talking to you in a store and turned to discover they had one of those ear telephones?

Since the first two resolutions are the first to be broken, surely there is one resolution that cannot be broken and that would be, just don’t make any. Now keep that one!
