Go Get It!

Preparing for a fitness event can be pivotal in your quest to get in shape. You don’t have to travel far nor is it necessary to spend months training for a fun run, walk or charitable race. The benefits, however, are endless.

Get inspired. You can find a plethora of information about training for walks/runs online. Decide on the distance and research preparation plans that will assist you in meeting your goal.

Get excited. Choose a local event from the list below that sounds like fun. Any event that offers doughnuts or pancakes at the finish line has to be worth it. You may consider sweating to support your much loved charity or while celebrating your favorite holiday. Recruit friends or family members to participate.

Get prepared. Train appropriately for your event. Getting physically prepared gives you confidence and prevents injuries.

Get motivated. Whether you jog, sprint or walk across the finish line, there is nothing that compares to the feeling of achieving your fitness objective.

Get going. If you register for an event, plan to attend. Mark the date on your calendar, start training and enjoy the benefits of healthy competition!
