Betty Smith Morgan

Betty Smith Morgan, 83, of Monticello, formerly of Douglas, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Pearson, Ga. to the late Manning George Smith and Rhoda Goff Smith. She settled in Tifton to raise her family and retired from PCC Air Foils Manufacturing in Douglas. She moved to Monticello, in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her sister and seven brothers.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Anita and Tom Tillman of Monticello, and James and Deidra Morgan, Jr. of Knob Noster, Mo.; grandchildren, Kyle James Morgan, Luke Patrick Morgan, Derek Adam Elijah Morgan, Morgan Lyn Tillman, Jill Marie Morgan, and William Mack Tillman; and sister, Ola Stone of Douglas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Pearson. Bobby Fussell will officiate.

The family will receive friends at 10, one hour prior to the service, on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Pearson.

Pallbearers are Stanley Stone, Clifford Stone, Chester Stone, Henry Smith, II, Roy Hulsey, and Carl White, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Woodrow Stone and Kenny Stone.
