TEST DRIVE EVENT

The Drive One 4UR School event presented by Ford Motor Company in Jasper County Saturday raised $6,000 for Jasper County schools.

More than 300 people headed out to Jasper County High School and drove a Ford, most of them around the parking lot, as Ford tried to find new customers while giving back to its communities. Covington Ford in Monticello was the local sponsor, promoting the event, and organizing it with the school.

In the bottom photo, Hurricane alum Brady McMichael is sitting in a new Mustang, smiling at mom, saying please, can I have it…or maybe he is just thinking it. In addition to the money Ford will donate to the school, the softball team washed cars during the drive event and raised more than $600.
