FAMILY DOLLAR

After a slow start over a weekend, months after initial reports of the store being built, construction on the new Family Dollar store to be located on the corner of East Greene Street and Frobel Street is moving apace. Monticello City Council approved the building near the beginning of the year, and expected work to begin soon. However, it did not. Less than a month ago, clearing began on the lot, and as of this week, framing was going up in preparation of the new retail store.
